Not sure but I know Dave Kingman was the first player to play for 4 divisions in the same year... can't remember all the teams for sure but I believe it was the Mets, Yankees, Angels and Padres... |

Johnny LeMaster one upped Kingman, he played for the last place team in each division in the same year. I guess he wasn't a difference maker on his teams. |

I think we are all forgetting... The question asked who played for the PADRES, Giants, and Dodgers... Didn't the Padres start in 1968? That means O'Doul couldn't have played for them 35 years before the team became a franchise - right? |

The San Diego Padres were a Pacific Coast League team. You would have to ask JC if he specifically said the ML Padres which did have their first season in 1969. I dont know of any players that played for all 3 NL teams in the same year so it would have to be a trick question[sort of] and it could be someone who played for the PCL and NL in the same year.O'Doul did play for the Dodgers and Giants in 1933 but as far as i know, the Padres didnt play till 1935 when they moved from Hollywood to San Diego but that could be wrong because im far from a PCL expert. There was also a PCL team called the Giants at the time so technically the guy only had to play for the Dodgers in the NL for it to be true |

My best guess is Tony Lazzeri who played briefly for the Dodgers and Giants in 1939 and was out of the majors by early June.He was a former PCL player and a native of California and he couldve went home and played for the Padres.I know he played up until 1943 in the minors just dont know if he played for the Padres in 1939 for sure |

I grew up a Senators fan. The man was immense. I once saw him hit a check swing home run off Sam McDowell. |

Am I missing something with these guesses? The Padres are only forty years old or so (1969). That rules out a few people. |

Jim - you're killing me here. It just drives me nuts when I can't figure it out. I spent 2 hours in Criminal Procedure today "Googling" this but to no avail... oh well - reading some interesting facts on the Padres is much better than learning about ineffective counsel. |

I had heard that question with the organist as the answer in the context of MSG, with the question being who played for the Rangers and the Knicks (and possibly one of the baseball teams). |

At least if talking about Nancy B. Hefley...long time Dodger organist...when she plays, it is only for the home team...she never plays for the visiting team...she rarely plays anymore during the inning breaks as things happen on the DiamondVision now...Nancy B. is an important part or Dodger history... |

First off let me say that it was sorda of a trick question. I phrased the questions wrong as I heard it. I should have ask "Who PLAYED for the Padres, Dodgers, and Giants all in the same year" |
