Cubs tickets questions - National

The wife and I definitely plan on attending. I've already explained to her that in addition to following me around the convention center (carrying my purchases) for a couple of days, attendance at one afternoon game at Wrigley is mandatory.

Thursday at the National, followed by a Friday afternoon game at Wrigley sounds about perfect.

As a trade-off, which of Chicago's "nice" hotels would locals recommend?
