I think Richard hit the nail on the head. SGC is considering the corners on the 40 card to be rounded as opposed to a piece missing. I can see where they are coming from and sometimes the overall eye appeal must be highly considered in the grading system. As stated previously, these cards are so rare that one grade higher or lower should not make much of a difference in price or desirability as I would guess most of these are 1/1's or 1/2's in the pop report. |
