A snappy salute to all Net54 veterans of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy.
Yep, that is me in the Summer of 1960, just out of basic training at San Antonio, Texas. Actually, I was lucky....as a Radar Electronics Specialist, I enjoyed 4 years in the Air Force. I met my wife while stationed in Northern Maine on a SAC base loaded with many B52 bombers. It was awesome to be inside a B52. Ask Slim Pickens and James Earl Jones (Dr. Strangelove) ![]() All this was during the Cuban Missle Crisis and the start of the Vietnam War. ![]() TED Z |
