Leon--The photo has some issue (maybe a development issue) in the upper left but it looks better in person and the Cummings image is very clear. The reason the UL issue stands out is because the rest of the photo is amazingly sharp. There is no repair or any other issue that I could tell.
BTW, I'll buy all the copies that you can find that look like this at the lot's final price.

Leon- I believe the Hartford CdV you owned in SGC 80 sold at auction for about 20K in 2007. I think 10-15K for one of these is about right. I also believe that most of the ones that have been auctioned or sold in the past 10years are the same CdVs being recycled, with only about a half dozen known.
Jay- Were you the lucky winner? If not, someone else got a good deal.

Leon- my first reaction when I saw the light area was that it was glare from shooting the image. Since it is in fact on the photo it would have some impact, but I still think the winner got it at a fair price.

I guess 'OldJudge' was the buyer. Seems like a good deal to me. It could sell for $7-$10,000. My only concern is that it seems that more of these 19th C. team cards are turning up. There are certainly more than 3 or 4 known and the big auction houses aren't going to be able to hype them as much.

They'll hype them the same, it just won't be as accurate as it once was thought to be.

You are right Gary...I don't remember it going for that much but maybe I had sold it first and then it got consigned. I don't remember getting that much for it myself.
