Luke, occasionally they may sell one. I just don't understand why folks don't take the time to educate themselves at least a little bit when they get into a hobby.

I don't mind that much. I do get mad when I'm out bid and see the actual card for sale the next day with 5x the winning bid. What a dumb strategy

You just have to hang in there! Eventually, with persistence, you will find a reasonable BIN here and there. Here is one, not a bargain, but priced right for what is one of the tougher commons....

Default Agreed

joesvintagesportscard is by far the most reasonable seller I have seen. Also, he always includes scans of the back of the card. I hate it when sellers don't have scans of the back. Ebay sellers should take a lesson from this guy....whoever he is.

Default My opinion...

I've recently asked about some prices from a couple of dealers--both of whom I think have little experience with pre-war. Most of their prices were based on a percentage of "book" which have a disproportionately high NM since NM pre-war is nearly impossible to find...Due to their lack of experience, they priced the low grade commons at about 10% of book thinking they were giving me a good $ on a f/g t205 common when in fact such a "deal" was x2 x3 the going price of these cards...

Also, some people on eBay are afraid of selling their rare/old stuff for too low so they just stick it up there with a high-price tag and if it doesn't sell, so be it, they'll just keep it in their PC. For very rare items, it is possible to get a tasty $ if the right collector strolls along that has no other options but to buy yours...

We're talking about T206's here guys. If you don't like the price just wait a week or two and you'll see another one! Patience is a virtue rarely spoken of here.

People here unfairly talk about how all BIN on ebay are overpriced but I don't really agree. Granted, there are some notoriousy high priced sellers (many of whom have tons of items in their inventory) but I think we dwell too much on those dealers when there are many vintage dealers with reasonable BIN's that will often work with a buyer if they request it.

I have had great success w/ my ebay store since I opened it and I have dealt w/ many great dealers that also hae great items at reasonable prices (one has been mentioned in this thread).

Rhett, I will try to do better on the patience. How about .99 and let it fly, then we wouldn't be having this discussion. I do it, sometimes it works sometimes it don't, you have to take the bad with the good. Most of these sellers (I do not mean all of them) would not lower a price if their life depended on it. Thanks. Dennis.

I noticed this also. Prices have come down some what and these sellers are trying to get what they got two years ago. I find the auctions are the best, however there seem to be so few willing to put their cards in auction as compared to the Buy It Now. Some sellers have come down in price, like joesvintagesportscards.

He is still a bit overpriced, but certainly not as bad as other sellers with out of control BIN's. If you contact him about price, he may come down as he has for me a couple times.

Default Overpriced T206s

Here's another T206 that recently ended in the B & L auction (a mere 17 days ago, mind you) for a $570 hammer price. It can now be yours for $1,200, or Best Offer!
