Congrats, nice eye appeal for grade. Nothing beats a first Ruth, imo

My First Ruth Card.Someday I hope to make this claim as well! Nice card I would be proud to have it in my collection anyday!
If you don`t mind me asking how much did you pay for it? Just so I can know how much to pay more or less when I try to find one. |

I remember everything about my first Ruth. I remember waiting until the last second to put my bid in. The feeling that I had when I realized that I had won the auction was awesome. I had never spent more than $75 on a card before that. I even sent the seller a few extra bucks and asked to to get it to me as fast as he could.
My wife remembers it too. A couple of weeks ago she said "Everything changed when you got that first Babe Ruth card in the mail." I said "I know....I don't know why I waited so long."

I've been in those shoes. I recall glancing at it as I drove in the car, when I first got one. Great to have one from his playing days. And that one looks good enough to me!!! Congratulations.

Fantastic pickup!
Demand for Ruth will never go away, IMO. A card to be proud of.

Congrats, that's a nice one.
Surprisingly, even after 33 years I haven't bought one yet. And Goudey Ruths were the card the dealers I hung out at would hand me and say "you really should buy this card" I'm still not sure why I never did. Steve B |

The card arrived in the mail today and it looks stellar. If it wasn't for the pinholed area, it would grade at least a 3, as there are NO creases.
