Default Chief Meyers Philadelphia Times Supplement

I'm not sure how one defines best, but this is one of my favorites due to the great eye appeal. It's also one of the supplements that is infrequently seen.

That is beautiful. I've been looking for one of those for a while now without any luck, so you are correct about it being a tougher one to locate.

Gary:

Great Ruth P/C. It hurts me every time I see it that I let that one go. At least it went to someone who really loves it so that's a good thing.

Thanks, Phil. Yea, I love this card. I can't believe I own it, and it's the only card in my collection that I consider irreplaceable. It's currently in a good home (in a climate controlled safety deposit box ).

One of my favorites and I got lucky - no one bid on it - Greg Manning Auction at the National in 1994.

Total is around 7" by 7", it's in my safety deposit box, so can't go grab it to verify.

Default Favorites

19th Century favorite....tough decision, so here are both of them

[linked image]

Two early 20th Century favorites

1904 Eastern League Champions....the year there was no World Series in Major League Baseball

[linked image]

One of the toughest of the 27 white-bordered red Cobb's

[linked image][linked image]

I had to include these two favorites simply because their cards represent a year in which their records may never be broken
[linked image]

Post WWII favorite

1949 LEAF......NOT 1948 !
[linked image]

Last but not least....after all, I only paid a penny for my Mantle in the Fall of 1952

[linked image]

Please excuse the multiple "favorites" .... but, I find it hard to believe that anyone can just select a single "favorite" card from their collection

Default I'd like you to pick my best card!

This is from 1980....... my favorite's the Aaron Rookie! The 3 T206 Cobbs are Sweet Cap, Piedmont and Polar Bear. There's an 1888 Boston schedule, too!

Bill Hedin

Nice cards Johnny. I'm like you, tough to choose just one. Here are three that I consider my best.
