Default T213-2 Ford

Chris, thanks for pointing to the grass background on the T215-2 Ford. I had not noticed that until now. It is all dark green w/o the light green grass with dark green shadows on all other Fords I've seen.

Here is the T213-2 Ford I have. There is only 1 Ford in T213-2, shown as a Buffalo Fed. Ford played for Buffalo in 1914 and 1915 so the T213-2 Ford is probably from the earlier run of 1914-1916 type 2 Coupons. The T215-2 Red Cross ran into 1913 when Ford was still on NY. So, it would be interesting to see if anyone else had a T215-2 Ford with the same all green grass background.

Default A big thank you!

It seems I've needed to try to be creative recently. I was able to work out a deal with JP to get the following cards, but had to work out separate trades/purchases with Luke and John to pull it off. All told, four N54 members, 13 low grade T206s, 5 mailings and a lowly $15. Thanks guys! This puts me at 80 different EPDG!

Just back from SGC. Grade aside, I like used PC's especially one like this, postmarked on the same day as a world series game, with relevant content.

Of all the different T206 backs, EPDG are my favorite.

Happy to help Erick! We traded 6 cards and I was able to add another Cycle back along with a couple EPDGs. Worked out great for me too!

Picked these up recently-I am debating putting together the 1911 Obak set; after selling most of my prewar stuff I could not part with the handful of Obaks I own so I guess that little voice in my head was chirping....

Not often do I get schoolgirl giddy over a card, but I collect crop mark T206's and I was looking for a centerpiece to the collection, most are commons and half lines, but a few days ago I picked up this bad boy on ebay and couldn't be happier! Someone at the factory missed low and wide on the cut and 104 years later, that made my day

If you're looking for a low grade T206 Young/Bare PM me, I'll be selling my old one

BTW, If you read the "know you're addicted thread", this is the card I bought right after I decided $6 was too much to spend on lunch and went to Dunkin Donuts instead

Default Dog's Head

Thanks, Jay. I was glad to pick up my first N173 Dog's Head.

Here is a T213-2 Chase port Buffalo. For some reason, all of the Chase cards in T213-2 are somewhat difficult to find...

Nice, iconic card, Ian! Looks like the crease only runs along the right side of the card (near his name) and doesn't affect the image at all. Sharp card!

...then, after posting I click "next page" and see Chris' post.... HOLY $#!%!!! Nice, Chris!

First submission....A big thank you to John (Wonka) for hand delivering these to SGC. Pints are on me in Chicago....I think Jennings had a few already.

Quite happy with the results, a couple 1/1s and several highest graded. Here are a few.

Default Jennings

How did Jennings mysteriously jump out of his "coffin" and land diagonally on your scan??? Now that's a variation nobody has!!!

I picked these up today from an older gentleman that lives about a half mile from my house. He collected them as a young boy. I've known the man for many years and never talked baseball. Recently the subject came up and these are the result.

nice job gary!

In 1989 I looked all over trying to find those to get autographed. Had to settle for some reprints but I managed to get about 6 players on each team.

Default Just back from Beckett . Those kids need to keep up.

A pair of R314 Goudey Premiums.....the 1936 issue , the Type 1 ( white-bordered with the little '' Litho In USA'' down in the BR corner ) and a 1937 Canadian Type 5 ( washed-out looking , no gloss at all , consisting of Canadian Minor League players/coaches and for some reason 12 or 13 Detroit players ).
The flip of the '37 is gibberish....''1936 R314 C.....#A17 ''.... I'll crack it out and send it to SGC or PSA unless Beckett decides to read this forum and learn about Vintage . It's a 1937 Type 5 , Dr. Jim.....

Default Certainly the most dramatic pickup in my small collection

and, unfortunately, by dramatic, I don't mean "oh, wow, pristine!" I mean I really never meant to cause that much drama here and on eBay when asking for a bidding partner to help me win the lot this card was in.

Schafer photo Schaefer_zps6f1d4c33.gif

Special thanks to Bobby, who I think took a bullet to get this card in my collection. I certainly do appreciate it, sir. And thanks to everyone who lets me know when they see one.

Default My first T206 different double name!!

I just picked this up today. Jimmy Jackson PSA 6 (MC) and you can just make out Hoffman, St. Louis, Amer. at the top!!

I bought this card without knowing it had another name at the top, so I may have this out as trade bait on B/S/T soon...
