Amazing stuff guys.
Keep them coming.
Can't wait to post some pics after I finish copying some of your framing ideas.

Jeff, is that a regular mat board or felt backing on the Wagner piece?

Greg, that frame is simply gorgeous (not to mention the pennant)

Hi Mark

As for better photos, if I could only use my new Canon for good instead of blurry-ness. It's tough taking good photos of panoramas in their frames.

I hear ya, Max...

I must have taken a dozen shots of the Cubs Panorama (above) just to get the rather poor image I ended up posting.

Anybody know how the Auction Houses get the quality images of panoramas that go into their catalogues?

Jimmy,
The main mat is what they call a suede finish, the back mat is an archival black matte finsih. The checks in both the Wagner and Johnson piece are attached to the mat with clear photo corners,
no linen tape.

The photos are Conlons. They were pulled from the book, "The Golden Age of Baseball," which you can find on most sale tables @ any of the major bookstore chains.

Jeff

Well, the divorce papers are coming through as I type.

For those that were interested, had to pull the trigger on this non-sports piece last night. I had to pass on one a month ago as it was sold privately for 3x what I bought this one for. All I have to do is figure out how to pay for it. It's only the second time in 30 years that one has come up for sale.

Let's just say in the beer can world, it's a Honus Wagner for Rhode Island (although not quite as expensive)
