Current state of the vintage card market

Any thoughts on where we are and where it's heading? I have a bunch of auctions to run, but I'm thinking the vintage market has to improve soon. The odd thing is that I'm not seeing many bargains out there, just fewer decent items for sale. |

Scott--I agree. The prices of better material are as strong, or stronger, than ever(at least in what I collect). Any Old Judge in what you are going to list? |

The card is from 1993 and, in high grade, is worth a few pennies. |

It all depends on what you are after. I see Vg E94s (no overprints either) going for close to $200 on ebay and HOFers in beat up shape from the T205 set getting EXMT prices. I think it is still a seller's market on caramel cards and certain tobacco sets. |

I agree with TBOB - there were some very nice E96's last weekend which I couldn't believe the amounts that I bid - also couldn't believe that I didn't win any. E102's and 106's brought high prices for the condition this past week so I would say that someone is paying top dollar. I understand the top condition cards - don't understand the lower grade stuff as its available, just takes a while to track down. |
