My wife used to work for Nabisco, and this 1905 display rack and tins (REA lot 1479) will make a fine wedding anniversary present later this month. Kind of a thank-you for her likely biting her tongue while seeing all the Lajoies, Speakers and other Indians stuff marching into the house lately. |

James, congrats on the Kotton Plank, a good deal at that hammer price. At 11:30 p.m. (PST) I thought about one more bid on it. If your Honest bid was higher, then I'm glad I didn't cost you. |

I went out for a beer last night at 11:30 winning 4 lots in REA. No bidding activity on any of them for over 7 hours. I wake up today and this is the only thing I won. |

You go straight to backbone status with that card, so it's official. Nice pickup. |

Great pickups guys. I really thought the Kotton Cobb was a great pickup for the price, thought it was graded harsh, look at the big borders! Very nice pickup Leon, looks like the board picked up a lot of the goods! |

I managed to win the 1915 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson EX 5 in the REA auction. One peculiarity with this card is that there are significantly more examples graded EX-MT, NM, and especially NM-MT, than there are ones graded EX. This seems to be true of other cards from the Cracker Jack set as well. It is rather like a 'condition rarity' that exists in the middle, rather than at the high end of, the condition range. I wonder if this stems somehow from the fact that the higher grade ones that have survived are primarily from factory sets, while the lower grade examples are the ones that were actually pulled from candy boxes. |

Nothing splashy like Leon's and David's newest addition (congrats by the way), but 4 more additions as I continue to plug away, card by card, toward that elusive E94 Master Set. Nice color variations. |

Nice CJ Joe Jackson! Not sure if you were aware, but that's the one from the Frank Nagy collection which makes it that much cooler. Congrats! |

Jeff -- thanks, I didn't realize the Jackson card was from the Nagy collection. It did really catch my eye though as being a nice example. It looks like it has some light caramel stains but these seem to me to give it a feeling of authenticity that you wouldn't get with one from a factory set that had never been circulated in candy boxes. |
