48, married, two kids, son 24 and daughter 20. They have no interest although both follow baseball in person and tv. When I tell my daughter how much I pay for a T206 card she is amazed and says " wow, it's just a baseball card"! Lol.

57. Two grown sons 24 and 28. Love them more than anything but occasionally think that I spent enough on their educations to buy a decent Wagner.

Wazoo, congratulations on being first to crack the under 20 list. Reminds me that while I was away at college, my younger brother about your age, sold my baseball cards (mostly 1962 - 70) to raise money to paint his car. Glad you are here.

23. Married with a 5-month old son. He seems to enjoy the taste of baseball cards. I like to think that means he'll get into collecting.

64 and feel just like it. I remember when 'When I'm Sixty-Four' was released (Sgt. Pepper -- 1967), 64 seemed an awful long ways away.

sean B,

curious as to why you have a link to probstein cards even though you have your own site to sell cards?

seems a bit strange why you would consign to probstein...

Why is it strange, obviously he has a large following and gets a lot of traffic?

its strange because why would you pay a consignment fee to someone else when you have your own avenue to sell your own cards?

So the only people who consign are those without their own avenue? Very far from the truth.

I'm 43 and married (12 years) with three kids (boy-9, girl-7, girl-5).

The first year I actually bought cards with my own allowance money was 1977 Topps, as a 7-year-old. Loved those cards and still do. And I still have my originals from my childhood, although I've since built a couple high-grade sets of those '77s.

Default age

just turned 57 yesterday.

Just came back from the Boston show, I still really enjoy collecting cards.
Every time a buy a graded card, by the time I get home, I wish it was like it just came out of the pack, un-graded.

enjoy the hobby.

46, married with two kids (12YO boy and 3YO girl)..the boy shows no interest in baseball or my collection...which is too bad because when he quit playing baseball a few years back he was by far the best hitter on his team...he took up guitar instead. My daughter is too young to really understand my collection, but she did watch a lot of the World Series with me "Daddy's B's" won!!!

63, three grown kids, married 37 years, I remember buying 100 packs of 1958 Topps at a time at the supermarket, the lady asked me if my Mother knew what I was doing. That's when I learned that you needed to have your own means (cash) to be independent. I have been ever since. Baseball cards have been a great way to learn basic math and I highly recommend them to the younger generation. Just collect the older stuff
