and I find is difficult to believe that Sidney Ponson is the only Sidney - Sid Hudson & Sid Gordon are just two who's full name is Sidney

A new one as of 4-14-15 - Atlanta Braves rookie Sugar Ray Marimon (named after boxer Sugar Ray Leonard). Also happens to be a second-cousin of Braves pitcher Julio Teheran.

Ugeuth Urtain Urbina is unique in Major League baseball, but not in pro ball. I saw his son, with the same name, with the Seattle Mariners' Pulaski (Appalachian League) farm team last season (2014).

I saw Urbina come through last year as well when they played in Burlington.
