It is of course an extended joke. It is hard to believe someone with this degree of knowledge, who has done this research has just stumbled across the site. As a fitting tribute to C Faust, I had to listen to Fred Snodgrass first hand account of the story in the audio version of the original tapes from the interviews which have different stuff than the written version and the audio book.

PS. And one of the stories following Snodgrass' interview was interesting as well. He had his chance to bash Cobb - but didn't - could have shown more resentment.

Hopefully this thread has captured your interest to do more research on T206. Not only T206 but all baseball history going back as far as we can.

I think I have some other cool T206 to show you but please give me some time as my work schedule has been out of this world!
