Great survey, well done. I'm never surprised by the top 10, it's always going to be some order of 1952 through 1956 sets, with 1963, 1965 and a three other highly regarded sets. Personally I love to see the 1972 set so high. For a supposedly love-it or hate-it set, it's all love on this survey.
Not surprised to see the 90s rated so lowly either. Those were my early collecting days, and frankly it's a miracle I'm still interested in collecting cards at all. There were a few shiny inserts, but some truly UGLY base sets. |
