how to find an honest appraiser
Posted By: Jimmy
I do not think anyone here is trying to get you to sell your items. We just want to give you our honest opinions, some of the items you have mentioned a very rare. Not sure if you found my website, but I help many dealers and collectors. I see that Barry also mentioned to help above - Barry is one of the best sources on this site. Look forward to seeing the pictures. you can send a link from your photobucket account |

Skydash- if I may call you that- could you please give us a general overview as to the condition of the cards, particularly the keys. Are they beat up? Average circulated? Pristine? Let's get the ball rolling. |

Well....here's the problem...I've got this list here..and it has every card in this collection....which is in NO particular order...so I have no idea what is where. So,until I can start digging into this thing, you'll have to wait...I've got to go to work now,so I am: 1)going to take a picture of the whole thing so you can seethe mess I'm dealing with and 2)I'm gonna grab the first thing on top and take a picture of it so you guys won't collectively wizz your shorts! |

Skydash55, digging these out of the trash is going to be one of the smartest decisions you'll ever make in your lifetime. The second (and its a very close second) was coming here.
I know there have been big vintage collections thrown out in the not so distant past, but I wonder how often it still occurs?

If your intent is to sell and you consign them REA or another auction house, they will most likely be more than willing to foot the bill for the grading, or at least work out the cost of grading into your final selling fee, if any. This way, you have no out of pocket expense. |
