Wow! That's an awesome card. It would be interesting to see what one of those would go for in auction these days. |

It is, but even though I started this thread with my 1/1 Mathewson, I received an offer I couldn't turn down...oh, well...guess I'd better print up another one. LOL

Some wonderful cards we've been seeing. I figured I'd ask this here, because it is indeed a very rare card, does anyone own a 1950-51 Toleteros Josh Gibson, that they wouldn't mind posting and sharing? I'm curious to the amount of them that exist along with how you acquired the card/the story behind it. Thank you.

I know it's not baseball, but these are two of the most famous athletes in the world and rare as it gets, from Israel in 1970:

Waiting to upgrade 13 dang years :
Excuse my language but :... I've been looking to upgrade this 1933 Wheaties Jack Hallet since Hector was a pup :
. . ..The Fats Fothergill is also rare but it does appear every five or six years or so , as does his '20's Exhibits and his Worch Cigar ; ... so I'd say , yeah , Jack Hallet , rare... .. |

Not sure how truly rare this is, but I have yet to see another.

This is a popular post-war variation, 1967 Topps #252 Bob Bolin 'White Streak Between Name' (bad grammar aside), that also belongs in the 'I have yet to see another' category. Whereas the white streak is 'supposed' to be more or less of a thick, straight, white line connecting the two names, this one has the same extra white ink responsible for said streak smeared all around the same area. Pretty cool...

Mine belong on page 100+ of this thread. But these are two of my rarest.
Connie Johnson 1952 Colorado Springs Sky Sox (top right). The Johnson is the rarest of the Sky Sox issued. Exactly how rare is hard to quantify but there are not many. The corners are not clipped but these are inserted in the album that was available with this set when offered back in 52. The Frank Howard Black Bio print is 1 of 10 made. I own 10% of all that were made. (sounds impressive.)
