Packers Make Common Stock Shares Available
The Green Bay Packers are the only major sports team that is publicly owned. Individual investors can purchase shares of the Packers for $300 per share.
I'm undecided on participating because I'm still bitter at the NFL due to the Rams moving from St. Louis, but this is pretty cool. I'll get over it. Someday. Maybe. My wife and I owned Boston Celtics stock until they became a private company. We bought two shares for $40 each. We were forced to sell them at around $60 and used the profit to buy the canceled certificate. It makes a nice conversation piece. https://packersstock.com/
