N154 Presidential Base ball Club issue

Hey guys,

Tried the search feature, but couldn't dig up what I'm wondering about...

With all the great research done on studio photographers, cabinet cards, etc.
Is it known what photographer or studio provided the images to the N154 set? I've never seen one in real life and don't know if it has that info on the card somewhere in fine print.

I started thinking about it, because somewhere I have a WM Latour (famous Sedalia MO photographer) "business card" from roughly the same era featuring the same "big head" imagery employed in the N154s and wondered how popular of a novelty technique this must have been amongst different studios at the time. I wonder where and when this effect was first developed (pun intended).

Are the player's bodies taken directly from another baseball card issue - Old Judge, perhaps? Wonder if it would be possible to identify the actual players?

I don't know that big heads were common, but interesting composite photos were common back then. In some cases, they scissors cut out small photos (ala heads), pasted or pinned the cutouts against a background and rephotographed that. I once had a football composite photo were you could see the pins in the image. You could also make composites by staggering exposures.
