Looking to try and start another pre war set besides t206. Looking for something affordable but good eye appeal. What should I start with?

THanks, Henry Eshelman

T201 = No difficult variations, lots of good players and relatively reasonably priced.

the philadelphia caramels set is a small one thats not too expensive but the appearance is similar to the t206....i also like the 1913 national game, eventhough some collectors dont consider this card a baseball card

Well if you have already started or finished the T206 set then you are not afraid of a challange. I would move right on to it's little brother T205. They are easy to find and lots of fun variations. That is where I went after finishing my T206 set. Good luck!

A lot of the caramel sets are good looking, and relatively small (most have 25-50 cards, some more) and thus are not too hard to complete. Some are pretty tough, but E95 is a good place to start. I believe it is the most plentiful of the caramel sets in the E90-E106 range. There are usually a high % of HOFs in caramel sets and those can be a bit expensive, but also make them fun sets as well. Anyway, just some thoughts.

I'm really new to pre-war cards but ive decided to collect the T-201 set due to the fact that its a small set, relativly cheap and not impossible to find. Also they look pretty nice.

I like the T-205s the best. Although simple portraits, I like the gold border and the information on the back...I like to read my cards, so reading through my T-205s gives me much enjoyment.

Good luck on your decision!
