Default Maybe Off-baseball topic: Repro 1962 Wheaties cards

Posted By: Max Weder

Before you all laugh at me for buying this card or even for paying more than $1 for it, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5120915047, I only purchased it as a counterpoint to my original autographed 8 x 20 signed photo of Percy Williams in his Canadian Olympic track uniform (think Jackson Scholz, Chariots of Fire, and pre-steroids sprinting and two Olympic gold medals. Percy lived two blocks away from where we live, and lived a tragic life, ending up in suicide. It will someday make a great Canadian movie which no one will watch)

The vendor has just written me advising that he believes this card was a reproduction, and is offering a refund upon the return of the card. Expert thoughts as to whether the offered item is a repro? Expert thoughts such as "Max, stick to baseball books" have already been duly noted.

Thanks,

Max
