When a seller's $.99 2008 football card scans are clear and his $1000 cards are fuzzy, run like Hell

Default 34 Gehrig

Speaking of CSA, look at this auction that just closed. I personally would not even think about bidding on any of these. Hope it works out for the buyer.....

In regards to the authenticity of the CSA Goudey '33 Gehrig. Lets see if I've learned anything from Frank Ward's input on this board after all these years.....

First thing to look for is the bottom red border, it should not match up perfectly at the ends with the rest of border. Sometimes this is hard to see on a scan but I would say this one passes that test (it is more noticeable on the infield dirt border above the red border). Secondly, his bat should extend into the top upper white border. This one does extend (albeit faintly). Lastly, the borders should not be too white compared to the rest of the card. In my opinion, this card is legit. His face and hands are a little too dark for my liking but I would say the registration is a little bit off. Now, whether its trimmed or has been tampered with, that is another story.

Lovely Day...

I've had a CSA card in my collection for years and have been meaning to crack it out and send it to SGC but just haven't done it yet. It looks like they've used several different labels. I know its real, I've seen all kinds of cuts on N28s and N29s, I've always thought it looked OK, what do you guys/gals think?

Keith- looks real and original to me. You may have lucked out on that one. But I would want to inspect the edges.
