Default 1980 question

hey guys - i'm still pretty green with the grading process, and had a question on the 1980 set. if you have a card with the name scratched off, is that considered a flaw to the graders? for example, i own a ray bourque rookie card that's in really nice shape. but the puck was scratched off to reveal his name. appreciate the responses. it's a pretty interesting set for that reason.

I'm pretty sure you get knocked for it being scratched.

i thought about subbing mine to PSA, but figured the scratch off was enough to make it a waste of time

You can still get an 8 with it scratched for sure, not sure about a 9 or 10....
