Default You asked for it...

I know this isn't what you had in mind but... I took this photograph (and others) back in 2006. I don't take a lot of photographs anymore. It is the real deal...

Jaime, great cards, but who are they? I recognize the two that seem to go together on the ends, but I don't recognize the one in between them or the one in the trap.

Just got this card, can't figure out what is by his shoulder and I can't get a good clear scan because my scanner is smarter than me, but there is something there. A glove, a face, an outline of something...

I guess this is a little off topic and could expose me to ridicule, but I think I have a real ghost in my house. Not threatening and very sporadic, but sometimes stuff happens that is weird. Inexplicable.

Ken, stop it; you're freaking me out!

It's a figment of your imagination. Your mind is very powerful and subconsciously you can talk yourself into seeing and hearing stuff that doesn't exist!

It mainly happens when a person is over-tired and in need of much rest. Even though you may feel that you are not tired, you are and the mind will play tricks.

If you find this happening at night, simply heat up a small cup of milk and drink it. This will give your body and mind a calming effect that dates back to when you were an infant.

Good Luck and RELAX!

Relax, my ass. Yeah, I knew I shouldn't have posted that. As far as relaxing I am the most relaxed person in the world. And not afraid of anything. Warm milk! Things just happen now and then that are weird. 10 am 10pm. doesn't matter. And I haven't seen anything. Things disappear and then show up days or weeks later in the exact places they are supposed to be. My wife has seen it. We lost a toaster off our kitchen counter. Haven't found it yet after 3 years or so. I guess the toaster thief broke in and ignored all the valuables.

I am afraid I f'd up and made a ass of myself. Whatever. I'm not nuts and I'm not neurotic and not scared of ghosts or snakes or burglars or anything. Well I am scared of heights. True story believe it or not. Anyway I hijacked this thread and I apologize.

The house I grew up in was haunted. I'm 100% sure. My dad never believed me. The couple who bought the house from my dad constantly complained to a friend of mine, who's a hair dresser in the area, that the house was haunted. They sold it after a couple years and the people who moved in were only there a year before they put it back on the market. I don't keep track of it any more.

"Relax, my ass"

Yes, you can relax that too.

...and NO, you are not nuts. There is no such thing as ghosts! Regarding your toaster; well there's many things in life that can't be explained such as why no T206 sheets exist. All though there were millions and millions of these cards printed and there is not even one sheet or partial sheet to be found.

Where did they disappear to?

They are probably in the same place with your toaster.

Yes, I fear I have ruined my reputation on this site. Craig obviously thinks so. Oh, well. Just drop it. It was a stupid but true comment to make. Shoulda kept my mouth shut.

Hey, your reputation has not been tarnished!

I respect a man that can own up to something that many will not even talk about for the fear of a ghost to retaliate somehow.

...and for that you can be my friend anytime.

...btw, you don't happen to have any hammered T206's for sale to help me complete my set do you?

Right On Ken...I will send you a pm tomorrow.

...btw thanks for helping me pass the time while working my last hour of the graveyard shift; it's time to clock out now and drive home.
I worked a double shift today to help fund my T206 habit!

Take care, it's been real!

Good Night,

Craig

Anyway...

Cross ghost with a ghost of who knows who on the left. It could be one of any number of portraits. Many of them line up rather well. Armbruster seemed to be a good option, but so did others!

My last 7-8 years before I retired were on 3rd shift. It was good for a lot of reasons. Sleep wasn't one. I am F'd up to this day. Can't sleep. Hell it's 2:30 in the morning and I'm wide awake. Got a beautiful wife in there in bed and I'm chatting cardboard. UGH!!!

Not that I am in to this ghost stuff, but...

Until someone can explain what is in those photos I took and are posted elsewhere in this thread, there does seem to be something to this ghost stuff.

The place I took them has become rather well known and has been on TAPS, The Haunted, etc. It was totally unknown when I took them back in 2006. The place was in ruins then.

And no I didn't phony them up.

BTW - I really enjoy "haunting" this forum. I cant tell you how much I have learned from all of you guys. I don't have much to contribute yet, but I do when I can.

Thanks!

Doug

Here's one...paraphrased

"There was this lady that was very interested in a career minor leaguer named Ed Matthew, who played from 1909 - 1913 for seven different league teams, including a town named Traverse City, Michigan, where the lady and her family now live. But Ed Matthew is not a distant relative, so why the interest?

"Ed Matthew is a ghost in our house," she stated.

The family moved into the house in the summer of 2011, and by the fall, THEY REALIZED THEY WERE NOT ALONE.

"I knew nothing about baseball before this." she noted. "I was coming up the stairs, and there was this man, with baggy pants, horizontally striped socks, and a baseball cap that looked very old fashioned, with a shorter brim than they have today."

Eventually, through multiple sightings, the lady and her husband were able to converse with the ghost, and learned his name was Ed Matthew, and that he had lived in their home when he played for the Traverse City Resorters in the Midwest League in 1912. The Resorters' ballpark was a block away.

After the first sighting, the couple went to the historical society and the library, and learned that Matthew had signed a contract in December of 1913 with the Chicago White Stockings, but was released in February the following year.

When they asked him why he was released, he responded "I fell."

Where had he fallen, they asked? "Freemont Freesoil," came the response. Later they learned that the towns of Freemont and Freesoil were consecutive stops on the train line from Manistee to Chicago, where Matthew may have been headed to report to the White Stockings.

The couple decided not to mention the ghost to their 10 yr old daughter, Susie, in order to not frighten her...BUT THEN SHE SAW HIM TOO!"
