Default August Autograph Pickups

Eddie Robinson. I Iove this guy. He knew just about everyone in baseball golden years. He has a great book "Lucky Me - My 65 years in Baseball". Lots of neat stories. Highly recommend. In the iconic photo, he's the guy that gave Babe Ruth the bat to lean on at Ruth's farewell celebration at the stadium...etc. He's almost 101 years old. He has a fun podcast too.

Had considered my 1934 Gas House Gang Cardinals complete without the trainer, but came across a couple of nice examples recently and decided to pull the trigger. Now, and finally complete.

Thanks Thomas. Now I can get back to the Black Sox, although I may just finish up the 55 Dodgers and put that one to bed first.

Added this one for my Brooklyn Dodger display. I try to get as many signed covers from any member that was on the 55 team. Doesn't matter what year but they have to have the Brooklyn uniform on. This one seems like it's harder to find than his others, so I'm glad to pick it up.

I really love the early Sport magazines as well as most Ozzie Sweet photography. In a class by itself. Don’t know if this is him, but it’s a great cover. Nice magazine.

This was a gift from my friend Duane Rieder. It was signed during a photo shoot he did with Sosa at the Clemente museum. Although its certainly a common autograph I love the artistic feel and format.

Picked this up, just finished a biography on him and made it a goal to get everyone in the HOF first class photo. I’m at 6/10 plus Cobb.
