Normally I post on the cardboard side of the site but thought I would share this item here.

I collect Sam Crawford. I picked this up a few weeks back from Scotland of all places....

Though very faint, the ring has inscribed on the top:

1909 World Series
Detroit Tigers
Sam Crawford

The ring appears old, has heavy wear, guessing about mens size 10 or 11.

Thoughts? opinions? Cries of outrage?

There are a million of these pieces floating around. Most come from England or across sea. Most can be found on eBay. All are fantasy pieces. All are related to the dead ball league. I’m not saying this is fake, but....

Fake as Pam Anderson's.............wait what were we talking about?

Oh yah that ring.....sorry fake.

A few red flags - anything overseas & engraved 99.9% fake.

Also, notice how it says "World" Series on the ring.

Back then it was called the "World's" Series or World's Championship.

That's a HUGE tell.

Melt it down and use it as a filling for your next cavity.
