Default To flip or not to flip? That is the question.

Peter:

I never really considered myself a flipper, but OK I guess we all have a bit of that in us. I once bought a large lot from Lelands and was miserable as I moved it. It was fun seeing all the cards from the lot though. It took so much time and effort to move them once I started to sell them (I'm still selling some of that stuff). In the end I kept very little from the lot which is not what I anticipated when I bought it. I'llnever do that again. I also don't like to let cards just lay around the house.

BTW, that e95 Matty (cropped on the right hand side) which I was real excited about receiving, turned out to be this card:

I was not happy!!!

Cat,

It makes sense you wouldn't be happy with the Matty...that's why I prefer to do my flipping in person if I can. I see the store-owner's card or cards and he sees mine, if I make some money, that's gravy that goes toward the next card.

Peter

They call me flipper, flipper, flipper, faster than lightning.
No one you see, is smarter than me.
And you know Flipper, lives in a world of wonder
Flying there under, the bay of E.

I engage in flipping and do so with the purpose of plowing the profits back in to more cards. Another strategy is to constantly upgrade cards and sell the upgraded one, sometimes for as much as the higher graded one cost, you'd be surprised. Both flipping and constantly on the lookout for upgrades have helped me in building my collection.
