Default June Pick-ups

I'll start off the month.
This card has evaded me for years in a PSA 10.
PSA POP Report shows just 11 PSA 10's.
Happy to have finally corralled mine.

Loved this set as a kid. Just thought it looked great. Hated the awkward size.

Exactly! Pre Upper Deck, Pre Chrome etc. These were outstanding cards that were - too big. Standard size? Who knows........ Imagine 1988 Topps being these instead of the regular issue.

Bingo, they were 99% to a really nice release until the one suit chimed in “we should make them bigger!” Then someone let him into the 1989 Bowman premier meeting to screw that up too, lol.

Picked up my first Larkin grail card. Plus this is my first 1993 Finest Refractor. Really excited to put it in my Larkin display.

Nice. Still very thankful I decided to land a Frank Thomas (and a Belle) when I did. Would not want to buy one now. I look up a PSA9 Thomas every so often just to see how much they have gone up.

Sweet Larkin!

As for the over-sized 1988 Topps Bigs; at least they fit nicely in the standard holder much like the 1956 Topps cards they emulate.
In slabs; when you have them in hand, they're fabulous.
I'd recommend to anyone to pick one up and see for themselves.

Picked up a raw Ichiro bowing SSP in an auction, one of my modern grail cards. I sent it to SGC and love the way it looks in their slab.
