Help with Cy Young ID

Has anyone seen this usage before? It’s the well known 1902 photo; on what looks to be photographic paper. Printing above (cut off) appears to say “American”

Some light pencil writing on back with Cy’s name.

I would posit the top said American League

The image is the famous Horner portrait. It looks like yours was cut from some sort of composite. It does not look like it came from the famous 1903/4 Horner composite, but something similar.
