Default E91-A American Caramel Roger Bresnahan

I have been chasing this card for 30+ years, and finally found one with perfect registration and no creases. The card looks better in hand than the larger scan!

The images in the "A" set actually show the player identified on the card, whereas, the "B" and "C" sets repeat the poses from the "A" set and do not show the actual player.

Cool pickup Leon!

Patrick

Nice card. If you don't like feeling weird, you can sell it to me and start the search all over again!! After all, they say the hunt is more fun than the catch.

Congrats Patrick. Nice accomplishment. And I had the same idea as Todd, just sell it and then you can search for another for 30 more years!
Added this to my site., I have had it for a good while..

I thought that was a neat item too. I wonder if the kid had all his relatives buying tobacco trying to get his baseball card?

Big thanks to Kris19 for this stunner of a Cobb. The grade couldn't be any lower, but the eye appeal is off the charts!

Nice card Patrick...cards in the E91A set seems to be a little more difficult to come by in nice condition such as yours (compared to E91B and E91C).

By the way, almost 1/2 of the E91B have the same artwork AND player designation, and thus also depict the facial likeness of the player.

No need to wait 30 years on getting the E91B of Bresnahan though...he didn't carry over to the E91B set.

Finally found a #181 with the right amount of centering and registration, unfortunately that stuff costs extra. Also added a nice Collins to my Piedmont portrait run.

Congrats on the upgrades! The Collins was part of a complete set of 1914 Cracker Jacks that my father-in-law and I put together in 2008. I was the hustle man, tracking down the cards, and he was the bank behind it. In a somewhat contested move, he pushed it quickly to auction and sold it for $88k. I shudder to think what that, and the sister 1915 set that we put together at the same time, would be worth now but it was a helluva lot of fun to put those together. Enjoy the hunt!

Couple low grade pick ups.
Been hunting a T227 Cobb for a long time and the Wojo was a great bonus net54 pick up.
Thanks Jason!

I was a low $ bidder on that Cobb. I'm glad it went to a board member.

Leon - very interesting Cracker Jack piece!

I may have shown this off here before. Found it a few months ago. It’s an embossed side panel to a Cracker Jack shipping carton, 1912 to 1922 era.

Leon, isn't that possibly Willie Breslin who also shared an OJ card with Buck Ewing?

I shudder to think what that, and the sister 1915 set that we put together at the same time, would be worth now but it was a helluva lot of fun to put those together. Enjoy the hunt!
Oh wow Brian that is something you recognized your former card. I'm glad to have picked it up and plan to keep it for a while. I am enjoying the hunt, hard to locate good cards at good prices so I am being patient.
I take it you had the Dent-Kappel set...really nice cards.
$88K huh...I would gladly pay that amount for a complete 14 CJ set now!
What just the Cobb, Johnson, Wagner, Matty and Joe Jax cards would bring today!

No kidding, it was something to see them all together. Funny enough, I donated two cards to the set that I had picked up when I was a kid. I immediately regretted losing them when it sold. Last year, I was able to track down the Knetzer on eBay and paid WAY TOO MUCH to get him back. Still looking for my Bodie.
