Congrats! And the best part is how much you clearly enjoy it, that's the way the hobby should be!

Not so fast! I can still win this thing once this card gets submitted for the coveted "Purple Label!" I'm submitting a protest that a winner has been prematurely declared!

P.S. Beautiful card!

Thanks Kevin, I just got the paperwok from the White House for a re-count.

I'm on it! Along with the Alaska Vote Count! lol

BTW as a former comic collector, I did get the "purple" reference! lol

I can see the kid in 1948 putting the tape on and enjoying his card thinking "I hope they don't give me that damn "Altered" Qualifier or the "purple label! Happy Holidays! I enjoyed your humor!

Peace, Mike

Mike...actually my reference was to the ridiculous (my opinion only) new service being offered by a startup company where they will "grade" the job your authenticator did, and if they deem the card looks better than the grade it received, they will affix a "Purple Label" to your slab indicating that the card is a really nice 1.5. So, should this card be submitted and awarded the purple label, I would technically be correct here! Lol

Here's a link to the net54 thread where the Purple Label was discussed:

I appreciate the correction. I instantly thought of the "purple" CGC labels for comics. That service you pointed out is hilarious and I had not heard of it! Thanks again! Mike

If this card ever shows up as a 1.5 Purple Label you will hear from my lawyer.
