Star base ball players as trap shooters 1915 christy Mathewson
Lots of the early base ball publications seemed to also be tied to hunting. Usually it’s a bummer when one of these Magazines has a non baseball cover but at least this sporting life combined the two. It would be a lot better if Chief Bender and Christy were in uniform, but I am glad it’s not just a famous trap shooter of the time.

Who is the person on the right? The photo it too small. When I copy and enlarge it is still illegible. He is wearing the US Olympic shield patch which was standard from 1908 into the early 1930's.
