Default OT: Paypal Question & Reserving Funds

Leon, let me know if this needs to get moved:

I have a question. Previously with PayPal if I received payment for a card I sold, I could essentially put those funds aside (still within PayPal) to pay for future goods or services, and it wouldn't get touched by any recurring services/such that get deducted monthly via PayPal (like HBO+ subscription for example).

I can no longer find that capability within the PayPal site. I'd prefer my card sales dont get funneled into my general bank account.

Just wondering if something changed, or if maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

Thanks for any help on this and sorry for the OT thread.

Regards,

Bill

Not sure of this functionality with paypal. I had the same thought 2 years ago, so I just opened a free online checking account and have all my card stuff funnel through there, with it also linked to paypal. Maybe not the ideal solution, but you can find a no fee, no minimums checking account from any of the major reputable banks, and it will allow you to keep things separate. You can also pretty easily transfer funds between bank accounts with things like Zelle.
