I am guessing Jack Quinn based on the other trivia question to which he is the answer.

my quick guess would be Picus Jack Quinn who pitched (fairly effectively) from 1909-1933. He's kind of a low-bubble HOF candidate anyway, but one can only speculate what his career had been like had he started pitching when he was 20. He didn't make his big league debut until he was 25.

If it's a semi trick question because minor leagues count, maybe Joe McGinnity had more seasons?

I was going to say Ruth 22 seasons, but Quinn has him beat by a couple of years 24 seasons.

Walter Johnson?

Default Tuesday Nite TRIVIA.....Pitchers quiz

OK, it is Jack Quinn....I think Quinn's longevity (1909 -1933) leads all the major Pitchers who were his contemporaries......

Pitcher . . . . . . . Years

Quinn . . . . . . . . . 23
CYoung . . . . . . . . 22
WJohnson . . . . . . 21
Alexander . . . . . . 20
Mathewson . . . . . 17
Plank . . . . . . . . . 17

Here is my T205 John Quinn (91%) complete run. Any help getting his DRUM card will be greatly appreciated.

A - B - C - D connection............

I wonder if there is an early Negro League pitcher who went longer?

If someone told me that Satchel pitched pro ball in his pre-teen years, I’d believe it.

Except for the 1928 season, Walter Johnson's baseball career lasted 28 years.

Furthermore, Jack Quinn is the only active player that is featured in both the T206 set and the 1933 GOUDEY set.
