Default Ted Williams OMLB Auto Help

Hi Everyone,

Long time listener and first time caller....

I wanted to get everyone's opinion about this Ted Williams auto. American League ball.

The owner told me that it was signed in Memphis in the late 1980's at a card show. Therefore, no COA. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate everyone's expertise on this, as I know there are some pretty good fakes out there. I might just go ahead and buy an UDA ball, as I at least know those are authentic.

I am certainly no expert, but it looks good to me. I compared it to an authenticated Williams ball I have and about the only real difference is the "a" in Williams. But I vote good. Seems to flow well.

I can't imagine a nicer in-person signed baseball from Ted Williams.

i met Ted Williams and got a signature in the '80s as well, and this one compares favorably, especially the flow.
(Ted was in a coffee shop, across the street from a card show, and spent 15 minutes shooting the breeze. When I introduced him to my nephew as the greatest ballplayer ever, he corrected me, saying "Dimaggio was the best. Much better fielder, and all-around player. But I was a DAMN BETTER hitter, I can tell you that . .. "
I went back and scalped my $25 autograph ticket at cost, and had a much better experience out of it.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for the feedback! Glad to know that everyone thinks it is the real deal.

Also, I just got some more pictures of the ball, and it is a 1989-1990 version of the American League ball with 'Costa Rica' stamped right below the Rawlings logo. Of course, I know that anybody can get one of those, but it does date the ball to the time period that I was told it was signed. Just a bit more reinforcement for me.
