Question 1964-65 Kahn's - Jerry Lucas - variations

The 1964-65 Kahn's basketball set has two variations listed for Jerry Lucas. Windows Open and Windows Closed.

Does anyone have a picture of the Windows Closed version? I've never seen one.

I have a few of these cards, each cropped a little bit differently as to the number of windows shown in the background. But they always have at least some windows open.

I've attached photos of the two graded versions I have. I submitted these to PSA and both came back as Windows Open.

The PSA 6 card has 3 windows open, one full fan and a portion of two other fans behind Jerry's head.

The PSA 5 card has 4 windows open and a full view of all 3 fans. The photographer appears to have been slightly further away from Jerry on this shot versus the other.

I talked with a few people about this at the 2019 National and the consensus seemed to be that no one was really sure what the Windows Closed version looks like.

Hoping someone has some insight.

Fantastic cards !!!

Pertaining to your question, did you talk to either Hank Reizes or Steve Taft at the National ?Those two guys are the most knowledgeable on basketball cards there.

Thanks

I spoke with Kevin Savage and had a long Kahn's conversation with someone working at Kevin's tables.

The other conversation I had was with someone who had various Kahn's cards available, including the Jack Twyman that I bought to finish my set (well my set without windows closed).

came across this article that seems to answer my question

https://www.postwarcards.com/1964-ka...and-checklist/

The checklist lists the Lucas variations as having 3 windows open and 4 windows open - which is what I speculated in the first post on this thread.
