Default Another guy with 1985 OPC Lemeiux help

I have he chance to buy this set at a decent price. The only thing is that I need help to see if this Lemieux is real. Please see scans and advice is appreciated. Any guess as to the grade would be nice too.
Thanks for the help.

I believe it's good. As far as the grade goes, a lot depends on how tough PSA decides to hit you on the rough OPC cut. I've seen cases where they almost ignore it and others where it significantly impacts the grade. My best guess is in the 7-8 range.

IMO the rough cut is a plus. PSA usually sees rough cut in a positive light (as do many collectors because it minimizes the chances that a card was trimmed). That said, the t-b centering will be an issue. It would definitely get a qualifier if you left that box unchecked. Still a very nice-looking card.

PSA allows for 70/30 on an 8 an 75/25 on a 7 for top to bottom centering. I would definitely skip qualifiers. Although, I dont think they'll come into play given the rest of the card.

Thanks for everyone's input. I think I will be buying the set and sending the Lemieux to PSA .
Thanks again,
Bob

That's a nice copy, Bob. I wish my centering left to right was as good as yours.
Good luck with acquiring the set and getting your Mario graded.
