Default REA wins

So did anyone win anything cool or interesting? Please share.

Here is my lone win. It's a Gehrig snapshot signing an autograph.

I was bidding on the Josh Gibson photo by a well known photographer. It was considered a Type 3. That exact phone sold via a Christie’s auction for $10k, but I wonder at the time they thought it was a type 1. Still a really nice photo.

I thought REA's memorabilia offerings were the best they've had in a while. Was happy to see the really good stuff from the amazing ticket collection of Dan Busby (RIP) in this auction. Some of the pedestrian World Series ticket stubs he had (and he was the first to differentiate the mediocre from the great stuff he had) already had surfaced. After hoping the cream of the crop of his collection would come up for auction, I fell short on what I was bidding on. Some collectors got some great tickets and stubs.

Bill,
FWIW, I couldn't agree more.
With regards to tickets that originated from my buddy Dan Busby, there were some great lots in this auction.

The biggest steal was the lot that had 71 All Star tickets from 1935- Present.
At an average of $40, that was CRAZY and someone got a great deal!!

That particular collection took years to assemble, and the break-up value is worth many times that amount.

Wow, that was a steal. Hopefully some of those will come back up and sold individually.

I thought I got a steal on winning these two!!!
I'm sure Dan would be happy knowing they went to a nice home where they will be part of a massive WS ticket collection and not flipped.

https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...?itemid=128043 (1932 Game 4 ticket)
https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...?itemid=128106 (1953 Game 5 ticket)

Only need ONE Mantle WSHR for the complete set now.

Nice! Good luck on the final Mantle. I was just looking at some of the tickets that sold in that auction, and it just amazes me how much some of those tickets have jumped in price over the last 10 years...I mean, from affordable to I'll pass. Geez.
