This trade was not terribly lopsided statistically, but much better for Goslin. Goslin got to play in two more World Series, and Stone got to play for . . . . The Washington Senators.

In 1913 the Cleveland Naps traded Roger Peckinpaugh to the NY Yankees for Jack Lelivelt and Bill Stumpf.

Ozzie was worth the price of admission just to watch him play short stop. Speedy player that is arguably one of the best EVER defensive short stops. Not sure how to put a price on all the runs he saved with his glove.

Templeton was hitting great for the Cardinals but had a falling out with the fans and management which forced a trade. He led the Cards in hits in 1977, 78, and 79, so he could hit. When Ozzie came to the Cardinals he was known as "all glove, no bat".
