Default Red Sox Piggy Bank

Hi-
I recently acquired the Red Sox piggy bank pictured below and I have a couple of questions regarding it. Was this a locally produced item, or are there other teams in a similar style? Any idea on the manufacturer or approximate age?
Thanks in advance,
Alan Elefson

I think they were either Japan or China. mid/late 60s. Ive had a pink and Blue one, identical to yours. Not real valuable, but kinda cool.

Thanks Scott! I had a feeling it might be foreign made. I like the look of it as well.
