Default Jackie Fargo

I grew up in Nashville, and Jackie Fargo was the big name in wrestling in the late 1970s.

I don't see any wrestling cards of him in TCDB (he should have been in the Rax set). Does he have any?

There is a 1971 Gong Magazine Bromide card (Japan) of Jackie Fargo.

I have long wished someone would do a Conlon-style set for wrestling, but there just wouldn't be any money in it.

Thanks sthoemke. I suppose that is a fairly difficult card to come by . . .

Not a card, but here is a 1970 Gong magazine currently for sale with a good photo of Jackie Fargo.

Your best bet is probably going to be the 8x10s they sold at shows. You can find them from time to time with a little digging around. I have a couple of Window cards from the 60s and 70s with him on them.

Jackie was one of a kind huh.

You might appreciate this being from there. I'm currently speaking with a rep and toy manufacturer in China about developing my own wrestling figures line. The idea was to do territories for each series. Right now I've got a soft commitment from Jimmy Valiant, the tag team PG-13 (one is Bill Dundee's son) and the daughter of late wrestling Gypsy Joe has verbally given an ok.

We'll see if its worth it in the end, but definitely something I would love to do.

Wouldn't mind getting my hands on my very own 1967 Topps Wahoo McDaniel #82 Miami Dolphins card. Graded high would be a dream. Of course, probably can't afford it till after the move.

I grew up in NE Arkansas in the 60s and we watched wrestling out of Memphis every Saturday - I can tell you without a doubt the BIGGEST name in wrestling in that part of the country was the fabulous Jackie Fargo.
