Default E254 Colgans Schalk

Posted By: Tom Boblitt

Having a hard time adding to my Colgan's collection and just looking through some of the missing ones I saw Schalk which I have identified as Ray. Does anyone know if this is correct and if so, does anyone have a photo of a Schalk?

My understanding is that Schalk is NOT in E254 Colgan's Chips. He is on an E270 Colgan's Chips Tin Tops card. I only have one Tin Tops, "Beumiller, Louisville". No Schalk.

only appearin the much rarer E270 (Tin Top) set. Apparently, once the Standard Guide got hold of the (faulty) list, they swallowed it whole. Gradually, they've been removing cards from the E254, and listing them only under E270...VERY gradually.

Ain't that a purty Buck Weaver T4 in the Sotheby''s ad (top, right)?

(my copy is getting darker and darker...)

here's a Conlon Schalk:

I'll update my list.......why don't you send that pesky Beumiller on up I65 to Louisville? He'd be much more comfortable coming home where he played!

Hey Tom,

I asked him, he wants to stay on the other end of Kentucky's I-65... but he might visit up there one day.

Frank.
