Matt, that is a fantastic picture of the Chicago feds. What is the history of it and how long have you had it? It is a great piece. Congrats.

Fantastic room! After moving from Vegas to SLC in 2010. I spent about 8 hours a day, for a week, putting my new "room" together.

Thanks Rob and Scott. An antique dealer friend of mine found the Whales picture about 4 years ago. I've not been able to display it till now.

Yes some of these rooms look like museums and mine looks like I set up at the local flea lol. Love seeing everybody’s stuff and the knowledge here is unbelievable!

The c.1970 white suit belonged to Gordon Johncock and I bought it at the late Scott Brayton's estate auction. The red suit is Michael Andretti's F1 suit from 1993. Thanks for asking!

I always found them locally, typically from Craigslist or when stores closed.

Without going through all 21 pages, I think Mike’s Pirates room is the best room here. It helps that he has a lot of space.

It helps that we had the house built and I was able to do whatever I wanted with the basement. I ended up finishing about 1100 Sq ft and cancelled another room of 250 sq ft.

A bit off-topic, but collecting mannequins is a legit hobby. Rare poses or known artists are the Cobbs and Wagner's of their world.

LOL, I have a very supportive wife who likes my hobby. She actually likes the antique look of some of my items and takes them to display in the main part of a house.

Man, that Pirates room is awesome. Not only great items, but displayed so nicely. Even though I have a small room this gives great ideas for displaying a collection.

I've posted here before but thought it was time for an update, new items on the wall, also I finished a year-long project of filling in gaps on three of the four falls with vintage mini-pennants and added a few pennant strings so the ceiling doesn't go to waste.

Since this thread hasn’t had any new posts and since I don’t have any new Pirates room updates, I thought I would show off my Cleveland Browns section of my sports room.

Municipal stadium seats, ticket takers box, game used jerseys etc…

Do you normally keep the blinds closed to keep the light out, which can severely damage memorabilia?

I’m glad this thread got revived. It got me wondering how much space you guys have for your collections. A wing of your house? A room? A closet? I have about 220 square feet in a windowless basement room, with an adjoining 70 square feet in a “cold storage” (i.e. beer fridge) room. My garage gets used for banners. I’m lucky to have that much dedicated space, but could always use more!

I'm fortunate that I have about 1200 square feet in my basement which allows me to display big items (which I like!).

My wife also likes the antique look of some of my items and they're interspersed in our upstairs living area.

It just occurred to me that two good friends and fellow Giants collectors basically have the equivalent of walk in closets for their collections. Both guys have about every Giants card ever produced but also have massive amounts of great memorabilia. One guy has devoted a huge space to another collection and the other guy is limited by his wife

@ orioles70

Absolutely stunning.

How do you stop visitors to the room from grabbing a few packs and opening them? lol
