Default Where is the best spot on a jersey to get signed?

What is your opinion on where to have a jersey autographed? What looks best framed-front or back? Just looking for your thoughts... Thanks.

Never had a jersey signed myself, but the number on the back seems to be a popular spot for a sig.

I think the 'back facing out' framing style is the most attractive if it's a certain player's jersey, as opposed to a generic 'Dodgers' or whatever.

Whenever I get one signed I have it done on the right front tail. That way is does not take away from the beauty of the jersey but is still autographed. I hate it when people have them signed right across the front and really don't like it on the number either. Really, I guess it's just a personal preference. Frank

Adding to my previous message, I also have them signed with a laundry marker which is permanent and will not bleed into the material over time. Frank

People commonly get a jersey signed on the front (typically top half, perhaps nearing the team name or logo) or back (typically on the number), so either way is hobby acceptable and it's up to you. I think it looks nicer on the front, but the back has the player's name. I like the team name/logo displayed, but probably more than half are signed on back due to the name plate. Football jerseys are most commonly signed on the back number, due to presence of the name plate. Unlike baseball jerseys, football jerseys are almost identical back to front, except for the name plate. Having it signed clearly on the front tail is is uncommon and less popular, though a reasonable choice in my opinion. The signature there would still be displayable. I had a football jersey that was signed on the sleeve. Not my or others' preferred spot, but the sig could be displayed with the arms out.

In short, it's up to you and either way is fine.
