Default Brown’s Boxing sets ?

Are production numbers available for the Brown’s boxing sets? 1997 for example? I keep reading that the cards are rare.

How rare?

Going off of memory here. Johnny Brown had a website up years ago where he was selling off his extra sets and singles, and also introduced his last two series in 2002. Pretty sure that sites been down for around 10 years now.

I don't think he had exact numbers, but I believe the sets he produced himself, he estimated them in the 1000-2000 range per set.

The Johnny Brown sets that were produced by Seidman had higher print runs, but a better selection of boxers and more cards per set. I wanna say between 2500 to 5000 per set, but I could be off by a bit.

I don't think he had access to any of the Seidman issued sets (ie. Mayweather Rookie Year, or any of the sets Mayweather was in), when he was doing his sell-off.

I've seen the Seidman issued sets listed for sale in advertisements when they first came out in various programs (Seidman also publishes on-site fight programs), and boxing magazines. I think they had the typical "Limited Edition" selling point in the ads, but not sure if they listed the print run. They might have, but I'd have to run across one of those ads again to know for sure.
