ESPN has there bracket game up. Lee knows who the defending champ is, so I'll let him post that. Same rules as last year, only one (1)account allowed per person. And no accounts for you wife, girlfriend or kids.

Good luck..to me. The rest of you are on your own :-p

My money is on Ohio State

Cap, this is something that the board does every year and there is a traveling trophy, I believe a Chase card holding the Loving Cup, that the winner gets to keep until the next year. So technically, it does involve vintage baseball.

The brackets are set, so join up and get your picks in.

My money is on Oakland to knock out the Tar Heels in the first round and then win it all.

Jay- can't believe you aren't picking the Golden Gophers to win it all
I think this is going to be Eddie Sutton's year to finally win it all.

Sorry, but I can't help but hate the Heels for some reason. There right there with Yankees, Lakers and Cowboys. Not sure which of those teams I dislike more. Probably the Cowboys because they have the most obnoxious fans of any team in any sport. And where were they in the late 80s and early 90s?

I was really bummed to see the Gophers lined up to meet UNC in round 2. No breaks for them at all.

Im not saying us Tar Heel fans cant be obnoxious, but really, as much as I hate to admit this, Dook should be the team to hate now. I know I sure hate that team.

Is anyone else as annoyed with CBS coverage of the tourney? Being in MN we got that Wis-NoIA game and they didn't switch to Syracus game until 5 seconds left in regulation, then didn't switch back to the OT until .4 sec left. Wis was up by 5 points with 3 sec left and the game was over, but they refused to switched feeds. Then after the Wis game ended, instead of immediately switching to the Louisville game, wasted a good minute of shots on the coaches, etc. Give the contract back to ESPN. Hell, give it to UPN, they couldn't do a worse job than CBS did tonight.

fortunately here in nc the digital cable company carries all the games on the digital channels for no extra cost. Of course, now that my brackets are trashed, who needs to watch.

I can't believe you guys didn't go with Vermount, one more game to go for them. I like my chances of defending my championship at this point.

I am still deciding of the prize, will post when I decide. Nick Martinez was generous enough to offer a card (it ended up being a contriveriously card) last year, I wonder what happened to him this year.

You still have to knock out the defending Champ to Win!!!!!!

Looks like the defending champ, Lee, is going down and won't have anymore than one correct pick for the Final 4. If Michigan St makes the Final 4, I'm in good shape.

just a bump to get this back towards the top since the tourney will end this weekend. Lee, the defending champ didn't fair to well this year and I am out of the running.

It's down to 2, Jeff Effenheim wins if UNC wins and D. Williams wins if Illnois wins. A 8 others have Illnois or Duke but there early [icks didn't hold up as well.
I must relinquish my title.

Glad to see that formal attire has made its way back into the dugout--Connie Mack lives! Oops, I'm sorry, I accidently stumbled into the college basketball forum. My mistake.

I would like to congratulate Jeff for stripping me of my reign, the prize card came in the mail yesterday. I have a little doctoring to do to the holder and I will the the Net54 Vintage Card NCAA Bracket Champion.

I would also like to congatulate Hal for having the lowest score for the people entered that actually made picks. My money next year is on Hal, I know he will study up a little more or at least have his secretary fill the bracket out.

Former Defending Champ,

Lee

Look,

Dont give Hal too much grief - he suffers from what most Florida fans suffer from - an actual belief that the gators will win more than one ncaa tournament game.

Had he not picked the gators to win, he probably could have had an extra 200 points.

It was done as part of a devious plan on my part.

To lull you guys into thinking you could win the pool and to keep you DISTRACTED while I win all the good things on EBay for cheap.

By honest oversight, I forgot to enter (I think I was helping an old lady cross the street). Can I still make my picks? And, if so, what did I win?

Here is the prize, I hope it will be come a traveling trophy. I customized the holder just for the occasion. I will add a post-it with the Champs, hopefully someone can come up with something different for that.

The trophy will return to my hands next year.

Thanks to Nick Martinez for making the original donation for the NCAA contest.
