Default O/T Need Help with British Cigarette Card

Posted By: Scottopotamus

Someone recently contacted me in an attempt to identify this card.

I know virtually nothing about British cigarette cards, but my initial research leads to me believe it might be from a Wills Cigarette set from 1910.

If someone can identify the card and post the information here, I would be most appreciative. (or send me in the right direction web-wise)

Thanks.

Recommended site run by an tobacco card dealer in England. He might be considered the the British Lew Lipset.

Default O/T Need Help with British Cigarette Card

Posted By: Walter Peters

Hello,

This is my first post on this board after months of lurking. I really enjoy reading the posts and have just started dabbling in pre War cards again after collecting only basketball for the last 10 years.

The card you have shown is a strip card from the 1920s, made in the USA. I am pretty sure it is W545. This set has 200 cards and shows leaders and scenes from World War 1.

Sorry for the error above.
