Default 1914 Baltimore News Babe Ruth

Without a doubt, this one.

What are the chances that a baseball card would be produced of Babe Ruth as an unknown teenager, straight out of boarding school, during his 5 month stint with the Baltimore Orioles of the International League?

And no, I do not own this card - the image came from REA's website.

At the moment, I would have to say my favorite card is the T205 of John McGraw.

My new "favorite card" someday will be the last card that I have to buy to finish my T206 set.

1914 Cracker Jack Walter Johnson.
Simply the greatest card created in the history of card creation.

Kind of a lame choice, but I really do think that a nice, bright copy of an N162 Kelly is the most beautiful baseball card ever made. I don't own one. Someday I'll find one that looks just right and fits the price I want to pay, and I'll pull the trigger.

This is my favorite card -- though not my favorite player.

1910 Tip Top Bread D322

As for my favorite Cobb card I'd say his Boston Garter is my favorite.

I guess my favorite card I don't own would have to be a Ty Cobb T206 Bat Off shoulder. It just seems so timeless and pure baseball, not to mention all the colors that make it the perfect card.

Default N162 Kelly

I must be paddling in the same boat as Al, as my top card would be the N162 of Kelly. I am really into the aesthetics of the cards we collect, and for me the Kelly tops the scale. Maybe someday....

I'd say my choice is driven by the uniqueness of the pose. I've narrowed it down to three, but can't decide. So in the spirit of completely disregarding the spirit of the post, I'll list all three:

T209 Thompson B&W (Uncle Sam pose)

1913 Zeenut Leard (Let's get drunk and bunt)

Kalamazoo Bats 2 player card in which you can see the scenery support beam in the background

Don't own any of the 3. I think 2 of these are Leon's.

Default Don't own it, and probably can never afford it

Encapsulated Cobb green background portrait with Howe McCormick's stamp on the Piedmont back. Graded as a 2 because of the stamp, would otherwise be a strong 4 if not a 5. The Cobb greens are beautiful anyway, and this one fits my niche.

Unreal T205 Matty, JimB. Whoever owns that Cobb signed T202 . . . WOW!
It is near impossible to say which is my favorite card. I have half-a-dozen in my collection that could be so designated and some of the cards I have seen posted on the Board or by the various auctions are pretty great, too. Just one? The winner by a whisker . . .

I'd like to add one to my list if I could. My first choice was the 1914 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson, but I do not own it, (YET!!! )
One I do own though that is a close second is this one. There's just something special about the image of Ole' Addie on his T205 card.

Default fav

after all these years, still the angelic Walter Johnson portrait T206.
framed, THE centerpiece in my office---as well
as a large portrait of Thomas Merton(my fav. trappist).
The latter is obviously Off Topic.

best,

When I saw this card in a book in 1990 I thought it was a special card! A little over a week ago I was able to pick it up. Babe Ruth in RedSox Uniform, Walter Johnson, George Sisler, and Stan Coveleski all on a card that has this special nostalgic look to it.
