Question about grading?
Posted By: Derek
Hi, I have a question about cards that have been graded by PSA and SGC. Ive heard that both of these companies grade cards that were removed after being glued to an album. That it does not seem to hurt the grade as long as there is no residue. But what about if they were taped to an album and then the tape came off from water. Do they grade those as well? Or is that different from removing a card that was glued to paper? |

I'm not qualified to say how much will be deducted for tape residue. If it's visible the grader will make a judgment call. |

most likley you would get a 1 or 2 graded from the tape damage - unless the tape comes off easy - really depends were the damage is. see the post about paper loss - may help a bit |
